omg i saw this too!!! me and my mom talked about it forever!! i googled craniofacial duplication and not much came up--it seems super rare. (although there have been animals with two faces more often)
i miss exchanging medical stories with you sarah! i looked it up too (but you knew that). i think she had too much SHH, sonic hedgehog homolog (yes, after the video game character - molecular biologists are so mature). it governs facial feature width, and when you have too much, it duplicates facial structures. and if you have too little, facial features become underdeveloped. i hope she only has one functional esophagus, i think that has helped animals with the condition survive longer. maybe we'll find out if the family puts their belief she is the incarnation of a hindu goddess aside and finally lets doctors check her out.
